CFL’s engineers have successfully helped to deliver a range of projects across multiple sectors.
CFL Infrastructure delivers flexible, in-house contract engineering support to civil contractors and clients, supplying chartered professionals – from Project Managers and Agents to Site Engineers and Temporary Works Coordinators.
Our team has expertise in temporary works coordination, design management, construction programming, technical reviews and progress reporting as well as other engineering tasks such as site surveying and CAD drafting.
We also undertake feasibility studies and hands-on problem-solving, always acting independently and prioritising your objectives.
By combining innovative thinking with rigorous standards, we ensure timely, cost-effective solutions tailored precisely to each project’s needs.
Our engineers were involved in the delivery of the 61-65 Holborn Viaduct project in the City of London. This project involved the construction of the substructure for a new 13-storey student accommodation block situated directly over the Thameslink Tunnel between City Thameslink and Farringdon Stations.
Works included the installation of five 20m deep, hand-dug caisson piles beneath the Network Rail tunnel and extensive strengthening and modification work of the weak tunnel structure. Much of this work was executed during engineering hours on the railway with challenging access, working room and working hours constraints.
Meticulous planning and collaboration with Network Rail and neighbouring contractors was required to ensure the timely delivery of this complex scope.
Our engineers delivered complex heavy civil engineering works on behalf of SCS Railways on the High Speed 2 railway project in Euston, Central London.
We oversaw disused utilities clearance works, hoarding installation and temporary works to enable the removal of 8,000 cubic metres of material, as well as the installation of 310 linear metres of sheet piles, installed using a low noise and vibration sheet piling rig.
This project involved careful management of three subcontractors as well as self-delivery aspects in a high-compliance environment.
